Nour solar systems with Mercy Corps within the project funded by the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) stimulation in the areas of water, energy and environment, have concluded a series of workshops, which included (10) cooperative and charity societies and in Irbid, Ajloun and Jerash Areas, within the current work to promote efficient use of energy and water and to increase the awareness of local communities with best practice for rational use of such resources.
NOUR General Manager Mr. Asaad Alza’atar, and Sales Manager Eng. Waleed Darweesh have presented the role of solar water heaters in contributing to solving the problems of energy in houses, the workshops aimed to aware the participants of the behavior of saving energy and water in houses. Mercy Corps also provided a set of actions that contribute to the rationalization of energy and water in houses. For this purpose the Mercy Corps and NOUR team have conducted (10) field visits to different villages in the north of Jordan to define the types of solar water heaters and methods of its maintenance and installation, its benefits in energy saving and environmental protection and the preservation of health.
The Mercy Corps has encouraged citizens in these areas on the acts of saving and directing them to Tamwelcom as a funded party to install the solar heaters in simple and reasonable installments that are available in all of the categories in the Jordanian society.

It is Known that the project of stimulation in the areas of water, energy and environment is an education project launched by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) in 2009 and for five-year, which aims to achieve greater efficiency in the use of water and energy, in addition to reducing solid waste by introducing well determined and clear behavior changes for the Jordanian people and decision-makers in Jordan with respect to their behavior towards water, solid waste and energy.
